About
The Comedy Cellar is the longest-running comedy club in the UK outside of London, established in October 1986.
It started life as The Friday Alternative, after the late Malcolm Hardee, legendary promoter of the notorious Tunnel Club in South-East London, approached South Hill Park Arts Centre with the idea of running a regular alternative cabaret night.
Alan Davies, Jo Brand, Harry Hill, Eddie Izzard, Harry Enfield, Vic Reeves, Graham Norton, Micky Flanagan, Russell Howard, Omid Djalili, Greg Davies, Milton Jones, Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Ed Gamble, Katherine Ryan and Jack Whitehall and are just a few of the comedy stars who've appeared at the club.
Brilliant club, great atmosphere!
Spencer Jones, Comedian and Actor.
