About

The Comedy Cellar is the longest-running comedy club in the UK outside of London, established in October 1986.

It started life as The Friday Alternative, after the late Malcolm Hardee, legendary promoter of the notorious Tunnel Club in South-East London, approached South Hill Park Arts Centre with the idea of running a regular alternative cabaret night.

Vic Reeves, Jo Brand, Harry Hill, Eddie Izzard, Harry Enfield, Micky Flanagan, Russell Howard, Omid Djalili, Milton Jones, Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Jack Whitehall and Alan Davies are just a few of the comedy stars who've  appeared at the club.

Brilliant night!
